Memorial Day 2025

The first Memorial Trophy game was on Saturday afternoon when 6 Triples were involved in a two section round robin.  We could not have had a nicer afternoon to play.
Section 1 was won by Eric Faulconbridge, Clive Underwood and Mike Jones.  A one end playoff was needed in Section 2 when two teams tied on points and shot difference. Byron James, James Cregan and Anne Spaulding won this to go into the final.  Well done to Fred Thorpe, Sue Moore and Eddie Pearson for making it such a close run encounter.
The final, played over 7 ends, and pitting Eric, Clive and Mike against Byron, James and Anne,  resulted in a win for Byron, James and Anne by 7 shots to 5.
Thanks go to Harold Cramp who presented the shield to the club and which will now be engraved and formally presented to the winners at Presentation Night.  A tribute to the friends we have lost over the years who will not be forgotten.
Thank you to everyone who took part, playing, catering and supporting.  It was a lovely afternoon, the first of many we hope.
