President Fred opened the proceedings reminding us all that this was a day we could remember the friendships we had sadly lost over recent years. A minutes silence was then held .
The day took the form of a round robin and consisted of four rinks and one triples playing eight woods. Each team had a bye in each round, and refreshments were served after four rounds had been completed with the the last round after wards. After the scores had been tallied up the winning  team was declared. The trophy is to be presented at the Presentation Evening in October.
The winning team, undefeated and with a shot difference of +18, was Claire Cregan, Angelo Grillo, Anne Spaulding & Eric Faulconbridge. The other teams taking part were John Francis, Mark Cregan, Geoff Rudkin & Dennis Hopkinson; James Cregan, Pat Lamb, Pat Francis & Fred Thorpe; Mark Simmons, Kevin Hutchins, Tim Lapworth & Eddie Pearson; Sue Moore, Bob Lemon & Ken Tween.
Thanks were given to the ladies providing the refreshments and an enjoyable day was had by all.
